The Brand Manager will act as the day-to-day "General Manager" of an upcoming Marcus Samuelsson CPG business, owning multiple critical aspects of pre/post-launch, including the following. - Commercialization: Partner with co-manufacturing team to commercialize primary items (2025) and future innovation pipeline (2026+)
- Marketing Plans: Develop and execute 360 marketing launch plans, inclusive of PR, media, social, in-store, and experiential, in conjunction with internal and external marketing partners
- Forecast: Partner with Sales and Finance leads on forecasting demand for the business + partner with the co-manufacturer to ensure production needs are properly managed
- Sales Liaison: In partnership with the Sales Lead, the Brand Manager will assist/lead the following critical aspects of a retailer's new item set-up process:
- Lead new item paperwork and forms, cost sheets, spec sheets, nutritional info, and marketing collateral to retail/distribution partners
- Manage timelines for authorizations, slotting, promotional calendars, and category review cycles
- Ensure compliance with retailer and distributor requirements
- Innovation: Build the multi-year innovation pipeline aligned to growth strategy and business targets
- Day-to-Day Lead: Manage budget, team meetings, Shopify site, etc...
Additional Details - Team mem Brand Manager will regularly engage with the larger CPG team: Business lead, sales lead, finance lead, creative team, external agencies, co-manufacturer, and others. Opportunity exists to engage with investors, retailers and additional partners as well
- PT / FT: Open to full-time or fractional support
- Geography: New York City and adjacent areas preferred
- Experience: Previous 3-5 years of CPG experience (focused on food & beverage) is preferred
