Executive Director – salary range $72,000-80,000 Fairmont–Marion County Transit Authority (FMCTA) FMCTA is seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead a rural public transit system serving Marion County. Reporting to the Board of Directors, this role oversees operations, finance, grants, safety, compliance, service planning, and staff leadership, and serves as the Authority’s primary representative with funding and regulatory partners. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience; progressive leadership experience in rural or small-urban public transit; strong knowledge of transit operations, grant management (FTA Section 5311), safety, and regulatory compliance; excellent communication and leadership skills; valid driver’s license; ability to travel; must pass pre-employment drug screening. Schedule & Compensation: Full-time, Monday–Friday with occasional evenings, weekends, and travel. Competitive compensation based on qualifications.
