A local nonprofit agency serving individuals who are blind or visually impaired is seeking a Prevention of Blind Specialist to assist with vision screenings and educational programs designed to prevent vision loss. This is a 30 hrs. per week position working between the hours of 7: 00 am and 4: 30 pm Monday through Thursday. The ideal candidate will have experience in health, education, social work, family studies or related field and who enjoys working with children and adults. Position does require learning short education programs that is provide to children about eye health. Must be comfortable with public speaking. Must be comfortable with different types of environments where there could be long periods of standing, sitting, squatting, sitting on the floor, etc. while screening children. HS Diploma or GED is required. Valid PA drivers license & ability to be insured to drive agency vehicles. Ability to pass background clearances & certifications upon hire.
