Job Description:
Position Summary, General Optimization of Dielectric and Silicon Etch Recipes Co-op
This internship position is based in Rochester, NY and will support process development activities focused on the optimization of dielectric and silicon etch processes used in semiconductor manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and optimization of dielectric and silicon etch recipes for semiconductor device fabrication.
- Support the execution of process experiments using plasma etch equipment and related characterization tools.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret process and metrology data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with process engineers, technicians, and cross-functional teams to troubleshoot process issues and improve manufacturing performance.
- Monitor key process metrics including etch rate, selectivity, critical dimension control, uniformity, and defectivity.
- Maintain accurate records of process development activities and experimental results.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications, General Optimization of Dielectric and Silicon Etch Recipes Co-op
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, or a related STEM discipline.
- Basic understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and cleanroom environments through coursework, laboratory experience, or research projects.
- Ability to work in a cleanroom setting and comply with all safety and operational procedures.
This position is contingent on the satisfactory completion of a background check.
