Field Consultant

The Montana Federation of Public Employees (MFPE) seeks a qualified individual to fill the position of Field Consultant, representing locals in eastern Montana and administratively assigned to MFPEs North Central/Eastern Field Office, but will be based in eastern Montana.  Successful applicant should possess experience and/or formal training in fields related to job description, including contract arbitration, organizing, bargaining, and labor relations.

The position is responsible for organizational development, membership promotion, and representation of MFPE members at the local level. This includes providing support, training, and assistance to local organizations, organizing new bargaining units and members, and for implementing MFPE policies and programs. Starting Salary of $83,230.  Excellent benefits including employer-paid health insurance, four weeks paid vacation, pension, and 401(k) plan.  Considerable in-state travel and some out-of-state travel required.  MFPE is an equal opportunity employer.
